What is Acemannan?

Acemannan is a naturally occurring polysaccharide found in the inner leaf gel of theAloe vera plant. A polysaccharide is a complex carbohydrate composed of linked sugarmolecules. Acemannan is one of Aloe vera’s principal bioactive components and hasbeen the subject of scientific research because of its distinct structural and functionalproperties.

Acemannan is not an electrolyte. Electrolytes are minerals that carry an electricalcharge and help regulate functions such as fluid balance, muscle contraction and nervesignaling. Acemannan is instead a plant-derived polysaccharide with differentcharacteristics.
